The wedding will be held at the Davis Family Farm just outside of Palestine, Texas.  Miranda has been dreaming of marrying Lane there since last November when she met the Davis’ at Thanksgiving and LD took her out to the farm.

The ceremony will be held in the pasture where Lane asked Miranda to marry him!   It will start at 5:00 pm, followed by BBQ, dancing, and a beautiful sunset in the next pasture.  Cowboy boots (or other shoes suitable for walking through the field and two steppin’) are highly recommended!

Rain Plan:
Just in case the Lord decides that He does not want our wedding to be held at the farm, we have a rain plan!  (But pray that we don’t have to use it!)  If it looks like rain on the 3rd, check back on the website to see if we’ve changed locations.

Wedding Party

Maid of Honor: Maisie Gest
Maisie is my little sister, and I think she’s the best sister in the world.  Maisie, you have such a kind, servant-heart that I look up to so much.  You are smart and confident and I’m so thankful for the way you love and pursue the Lord.  Thanks for ALL the work you have done (and are going to do!) to make sure your princess sister gets the wedding of her dreams.

Bridesmaid: Ashley Anderson
Three words to describe Ashley: caring, intelligent, fun
Ashley, I’m so thankful that you’ll be there on my wedding day!  Ever since I’ve known you, I feel like I’ve been able to appreciate our similarities and differences—I love baking, crafting, decorating and entertaining with you.  I also admire how freaking smart you are and am so proud of where you are and what you’re doing today.  Also, thanks for not letting Sky jump on me too much.  Can she come to the wedding?

Bridesmaid: Abbey Dizdar
Three words to describe Abbey: tender, creative, passionate
Abbey—I am SO thankful you moved in with us our senior year of college, and I’m so thankful that you’ll be there on my wedding day.  You are one of the kindest people I know and I love and admire your sensitivity and sweet heart.  I also cherish memories like Harry Potter weekend and hush puppies, bringing the boat back from the valley, driving around listening to obnoxiously loud music from your random playlists, and the crazy animals you always seem to have.  Thanks for always being up for something fun or something serious.

Bridesmaid: Tori Liggett
Three words to describe Tori: faithful, sensitive, loving
Tori, thanks for being with me on my special day!  I think you know me better than a lot of people, and in spite of that, you still love me!  From passing each other in the dorm hallway, to sorority sisters, to roommates in Europe…thanks for walking with me through some of the hardest seasons of my life.  You are such an example of faith and of having a desire to follow God’s will for your life.  You are a constant source of encouragement, wisdom and prayer; thank you for consistently pointing me to the Lord!

Bridesmaid: Alyssa Massingill
Three words to describe Lyssie: deep, authentic, friendly
Alyssa, I am so glad that you are back in America (for awhile, at least) and excited that we’ll both be in East Texas!  It is so special that you got to celebrate with me on the night that Lane and I got engaged and that you’ll be there by my side the day I get married.  College would not have been the same without you; I regularly miss our late night, impulsive fast food runs, hours at Common Grounds, mall shopping, Spanish Wednesdays, finding your dishes under the red couch (not really), Friends, and so much more.  Love you dearly, Lyssie!

Bridesmaid: Lauren Smith
Three words to describe Lauren: loyal, real, brilliant
Lauren—you are a great friend.  I am so thankful that we got to know each other in college and I’m so thankful for your friendship!  You make me feel so loved by really knowing who I am and accepting me for all of that.  Thanks for always making me laugh, always!  I also love and respect your advice and long talks while we run (and I’m gasping for air).  I am so proud of how smart you are and how well you’re doing in law school and I brag about you all the time.  Can’t wait to see you in November!

Bridesmaid: Adisyn Watson
Three words to describe Adisyn: steadfast, leader, encouraging
Ad, I am so so excited that you will be in my wedding and so thankful for the role you play in my life!  Who would have thought in high school, on top of that mountain, that many years later we’d be where we are today.  I am so proud of the way that you are serving the Lord and your walk with Him constantly challenges and encourages me to steadfastness, perseverance, and faithfulness.  Thank you for being my accountability partner (from across the world), speaking truth into my life, and praying for me.  I am thankful for you every single day and I love you so much.  Also, I’m super pumped that we do get to live together (for a little bit, sort of!) before the wedding.  God is so good to us.

GROOMSMAN: Royce Mitchell
Three words to describe Royce: Funny, Genuine, Caring
Royce, it’s been a long time since the crazy times of college and you drop kicking doors down or having long talks about how much you liked this girl who is now your wife.  Thankful for our continued friendship and glad I got to see you the day I went to ask Miranda’s parents for their blessing and that you are able to share in this day as well.
